Arlington - Colleyville - Plano

Mac's, as the locals refer to it, has for years captured all the essential elements necessary to maintain its reputation for stylish, efficient and still personal service which can rarely be attained with today's fickle diners. The gumbo at Mac's is arguably the best in the Metroplex area along with the Etouffe which happens to be my favorite when smothered over top of blackened snapper or roughy

Awesome - It is hard to keep one foot on the floor while you are eating at Mac's, the food is incredible!!!!!!
Mac's is the place to go for any kind of a celebration

This is my favorite restaurant the instant I tasted the food. WOW, this place is awesome, the prices are reasonable and the decor is fantastic for families, friends, and coworkers. The menu has something for everyone, and the staff is fast friendly and well worth the drive to Plano. The beef and seafood are awesome and I will continue to frequent this restaurant as often as I can.

They have a small sports bar up front with the dinning room off to the side. Great for 1st dates, birthdays, and whatever special occasion you can conjure up. You'd be a fool for not trying this place. Super Yummy, if you go home hungry it's not their fault. This place puts & ‘s and Chop House to shame. Beef lovers unite, and check this place out.

Pros: Great food, service, decor, and prices. Love this place
Cons: Located on a service road which is a drag, but well worth the hassle.

I've eaten at most of the top steak restaurants in the Dallas area and nothing beats Mac's fillet...and it's even much less expensive. Order extra steak 'marinade' and mix it with the rice! Their salad is also the best - better than . Stuffed flounder is excellent, and if it's chicken fried steak you want, theirs is the best! We have friends who come up from Houston and we have to go there for their chicken fried steak fix. Good Sunday brunch from 10 - 2:30 (eggs benedict, etc). Wait times for Friday and Saturday are reasonable at 15 -25 minutes (usually) - great bar area. They've been here awhile, but I consider them still undiscovered by most diners.

Mac's has a great atmosphere, and the menu has a good variety. It's a great place to have lunch with the gals, or a quiet date with your spouse!

Lets just say my family and I have been going to Macs for almost ten years now. We love the service and the food is excellent. Brunch is a must every Sunday!

Fantastic Food, Service and Atmosphere - Mac's has one of the best Sunday Brunch's in North Texas and one of the best Chicken Fried Steaks in the world.

Plano

All time fav of Plano! - We've been going to Mac's for the past 6 years and every meal is fabulous! Service is better in the bar but not bad in the back. Our personal favorites: Filet Mignon with rice (or steamed veggies for the low-carbers) and the vanilla ice cream with gold brick chocolate sauce.

****************************************************************

Mac's is Plano's best kept secret - The food/service/atmosphere is excellent in this little restaurant in Plano. Try the Blackened orange Roughy with Etouffee.

My husband and I have been coming to Mac's in Plano for 7 years. We had our rehearsal dinner for our wedding there as well. The staff is always welcoming and calls us by name. I have never had a rude waiter or slow service. The food is always delicious and the atmosphere is always pleasant for a nice date night dinner.

Will go back at least once a month. - The food and service were excellent. I'm from New Orleans and their etouffee is really good.

Colleyville

Loved It!!! - We came across this restaurant by accident. There are several nice newer restaurants all sitting together. Mac's Steak & Seafood grounds are well maintained and manicured. My family was able to enjoy the Sun. Brunch and it was absolutely delicious. We ended up visiting here 3x's in a matter of 4 days. During the week we ordered off the menu.

We are a Cajun family and when we leave home in Beaumont, TX. we leave true Cajun food behind. Well...Not only were the standard American high quality items delicious, but the Shrimp Etouffee was OUT OF THIS WORLD. I ordered this 2 days in a row. The roux is nice and brown and thick and it's some of the best I have ever had! The white rice is the best rice I have ever had. I did not know that white rice could actually taste that good. I also ordered Fried Shrimp on the side which I believe came with 6. This was the 1st time I had ever ordered fried shrimp that came with drawn butter. I have to say again the combination of the drawn butter with the fried shrimp was AWESOME. The drawn butter has a hint of lemon. A friend of ours ordered the crab claws that had been marinated and sautéed and they raved about them.
All tables had table cloths and the restaurant is a large building with plenty of tables, booths and an open bar on one side of the building near the restrooms. The quality of food was supreme and the shrimp tasted like they had been flown in fresh from the Gulf of Mexico that morning. If you enjoy a nice upper class affordable brunch please visit here. If you like steaks, seafood or even Cajun specialty dishes like shrimp etouffee. PLEASE give Mac's a try, you will not be sorry. Enjoy.

I had the luxury of dining here with and her dad and brother.  The environment was casual and inviting and the wait staff was helpful.  The wine list wasn't overbearing and wasn't overpriced.  I had a great time.
The prime rib was delicious.  Cooked well and still tender it really was great.  We had appetizers beforehand - the crab fingers were new to me but fantastic all the same.
The openness of the place with its huge ceilings lends itself nicely to an evening out with friends.  Enjoy it!

Wonderful food, reasonably priced. Some of the best salad I have ever had, anywhere. Fresh and varied with a delicious house specialty vinegar and oil and crumbled cheese. I could have eaten the salad alone and been perfectly happy. Everyone in my party ordered a seafood dish except one, who ordered steak. Everyone was more than pleased with their choice and I can't wait to go back.

With its upscale look tucked into the only grove of trees left in Colleyville, Mac's appears to be an overpriced, nouvelle sort of place. But it was a pleasant surprise to find a quiet and reasonably priced little oasis just off the Hwy 121 racetrack! I was in the mood for well-cooked butterfly fried shrimp, and for $9.95 I got 8 plump, juicy, double bite shrimp. The baked potato was generous and the French bread tasty… I will be back for more shrimp as well as to try the hand-breaded Chicken Fried Steak, Chicken Dijon and the Chicken Picatta, all for under $10.00. I did eat there in the mid-afternoon and I understand it is SRO after 7 pm. So I guess I am not the only one in NE Tarrant County to find this gem.
